Read that pet product label

This is sad because most cat products I am finding have aloe in them. I wish people did research and not do this crap. But I guess all they care about is money.

I am highly confused. I have searched "is aloe safe for cats" and everything I find says it's toxic to cats then as I shop for cat products the majority of things have aloe in them. Please if you are a pet parent please please research and ask your vet. Knowing the ingredient in the pet product could save your pet's life.
Aloe juice and pulp can be used to treat a variety of conditions in people, but it is highly toxic to cats. Keep aloe plants away from cats, like on your refrigerator or in your bedroom, and spray the plants with vinegar to make them less tasty to curious felines who find them.-- verobeach FL vet

Always read that pet product label!

Even the most popular pet products by Jason Galaxy has Aloe in it! Oof Jason, you are a cat dad and you should know better.

My mini donuts

My mini donuts.

I make mini food, most of my mini foods are from my childhood memories. I grew up in a smaller 'farm' town.  These are my donuts. This is my donut story. As a kid, my school once had a field trip to the local donut shop to learn how things were made, a live version of how it's made before that show became a real TV show. The early 90s in a small 'farm' town was very nice. It was simple and run by the generation who knew of a simple life makes easy life. This particular shop was run by a married couple who were already older than my grandparents or maybe they were the same age, I do not remember which was which. There's an old franchise of a donut store long gone, which is terribly sad because they made the best of the best donuts around and they kept them simple. No flashy ingredients, No flashy advertisement, No flashy shop, and flashy decore. Just simple, everything.  This chain was called Spudnut and they did have smaller cake donuts called spuddies. This donut was made with lots of love but yes as it is in their name spud nut or spuddies they all were made with potato flour. Then a simple frosting only 3 choices, glazed, chocolate, and strawberry. The spuddies were cake donuts but made with the same flour. They had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, plain with glaze, plain with strawberry, blueberry with glaze, maple supddie with maple frosting and some were even twisted with glaze. Then they had regular plane donut holes with glaze. They then would make something called a long john, yes not bar, not the long underwear you wear in wintertime. I have no idea why they called them long johns. They were Boston cream filling, topped off with chocolate, strawberry, or glazed, they only seemed to sell chocolate long johns. They did have a small drink menu too. Coffee regular or decade, orange juice, and milk chocolate, regular or strawberry. This donut shop in my home town was in a very neat building that is not in popularity of design anymore. It was an A-frame building the roof did not come directly to the ground as I remember. The booths were simple all one color, red and brown, or that once red wooden booth now faded to that coral with dings and obvious use of where people sat for many years. The menu was just small with those plastic slide letters, Spudnuts, Spuddies, and their drinks and the prices. They had a drive-up window, I think only one.
Simple. And they were busy every day. I wanted to live this life as a donut cafe person. I wanted to keep their tradition when they decided it was time to pass the donut wand on to someone else. I got older then there was word they were going to close it down, no one to pass that donut wand onto. I realized I could not continue the simple spudnut dream. It took more money than I ever knew. No one, was going to help me even though I express this though, or so I thought I did? I was afraid of what was next. Then it was not so bad a few people of my age or older bought it and kept the simple donut life alive for a while a good while. Then years went on and they shut the doors. I was sad once again. I still wanted to bake there and make spudnuts and spuddies in the morning and simple sandwiches at noon. Then I went home in the year of 2020 and it was now owned by someone new. I did not even want to look at the now new eyesore. Big flashy signs, big flashy YELLOW everything, Chinese donuts. What the๐Ÿ˜ฌis a Chinese donut. pre-made crap. prefab crap? ๐Ÿ˜ŸThat yellow is not happy, Those flashy big signs are not happy. They are sadness overload. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Spundut a simple donut. that you get up at 2am start your machines, add in all the ingredients, and let them rise twice! Then bake or fried, I don't remember if they fried them. I just was fascinated with the donut mixing pots and the donut cutter.
Since because I do not have the funds to run my dream donut shop. I make the donuts I remember. My cream-filled ones are round it was the next best ones I found as an adult, long johns, are long gone.

Wildflowers not weeds-let's change the ways

While you might call them weeds because they are randomly scattered around your yard and you can't seem to keep them under control. So therefore you say to these wild plants "these nasty weeds" You might even grab your hoe to dig them up, you might run to the store to buy poison to kill them off. I know I have done the same. I even grew up with a father who wanted nothing but grass as a yard so I was the one in the yard picking these "invasive eyesores" also known as "weeds"

Well, the years go on and I move to my own place. I spruce it up and we keep the yard neatly every other week. Then one day the mower dies. It takes a while to replace it since because living to check you can't always go get a nice new mower or even yet a used one. I then would just stare out at the yard and think why can't we ever have nice things. Why must we fight to own these things to keep our lives nice and tidy according to code enforcement. Yes, when the neighbor down the street or block thinks you are the problem they report your home to the code enforcer. We did our best to keep it clean, we even got money to eventually buy that new mower, with credit but I guess that's how you all buy your new toys?

There are just days when you work so hard at work you don't feel like working extra hours at home. You just want to come home and relax. I do not know how my parents and grandparents worked their magic. Growing up everything was spotless. Now that I am married and living with my husband. We just relax a bit more than others. I guess you could say we are very Italian because we perform the lifestyle of “La Dolce Far Niente” pleasure of doing nothing Which can be explained from the movie Eat, Pray, Love ( take a moment and watch the clip)

Ok, so onto where I was going. When there are days that go on and I had nothing to do I would get inspired to just go outside, mainly due to my cats who need supervision as they are outside. The two I have are vision impaired. I would take my cell phone with me in case I got the inspiration to photograph the cats. I however got the inspiration to photograph everything around me. This included the overgrown yard. I have never seen so many cute little plants before. I do have older pictures that I love and I want to share with you but those are for another day. I took these fresh photos today, 3-6-2021. I want you to see the beauty in these flowers. These wildflowers. Yes, wildflowers. That is what they are and what they should be called. These flowers serve a purpose. They are the rebels but with a cause. They serve all the little bugs, bees, and butterflies the nutrition they need.

I introduce to you my flowers. First here is the Toadflax, or old-field toadflax, is a species of Nuttallanthus.

The second wildflower is an Erigeron philadelphicus Philadelphia fleabane or Daisy fleabane

There are many more wildflowers in my yard but so far these are my two favorites.
The yard right now is just a free buffet to all the bees, butterflies and, bugs. Spring is here and they are always welcome to feast in my yard. Nature is beautiful, take care of her, don't judge her looks, just enjoy her.

Store Review- Sourpuss clothing

I was very hesitant to shop from sourpuss. I have a hard time finding things in my size including cute retro style dresses and clothing. I got this dress because of the price I understood it's made from spandex and polyester which both materials are inexpensive. This material can make the shirt, dress, pants and etcetera look very infomal. Spandex polyester material is not a high quality material it's cheap to buy an easy to work with. If you want authentic vintage retro style you need to find something that says made with cotton it will give you a higher quality look. It's just that anything of a higher quality of material costs more to buy therefore the production work of a higher quality clothing will cost more which is understandable. I knew what I was buying when I bought it which I am okay with because I can't always afford the higher quality dresses, shits, and pants.

Now you can make your new dress that is made of spandex material look fabulous by adding extra accessories such as the right lingerie, bra and possible corset and petticoat.  You can also add a flare of jewelry and style your hair better than what I will show you here in my pictures because mine are just for looking at the way the dress fits upon my body.

My body is a thick hourglass figure. My chest is big 38 double D or triple D depending on what brand of bra I buy. My torso is short with the fluffiest muffin top but sits upon thick, power thighs! Yeah, we are all different so shopping for that cute dress can be a nightmare.

The dress I decided to go with is called the sourpuss last Port Rosie dress for $58.

Their first model who is drop dead gorgeous, is wearing the 3x size.

I based my decision off of their first model since I am 5'5" and I am thick in size but I know that I am smaller in size than their first model.

They need to show the model against a darker background because the dress is not white it is a yellow cream color which I don't know if it describes that. I had to really look at some of the pictures that they provide to realize that it is a off-white or an off-cream color my pictures that I will post probably will pick that up because I'm standing in a bedroom with darker colors and natural lighting. The color is very nice and I prefer then just plain white. There are two functional buttons at the bust so that you can either leave them open or closed depending on your chest size or your mood. With my chest size being larger the buttons tend to pull. I may have to alter the dress to improve the look.

I am satisfied with the dress. I will shop again with sourpuss and I will recommend the shop to my friends.

JoAnns Structured Mask How To for real beginners

I have decided to take on a JoAnns face mask pattern. I am not the best sewer but after watching the super-fast video of this pattern. I decided to give this a try. I had to make the video play in super slow-mo.  If you are interested in this too keep reading. I have broken this down into pictures.

The video is here:

This pattern and written instructions are found here: https://www.joann.com/structured-cotton-face-mask/302013571P100.html

Scroll down to find the two tabs:

I printed my patterns onto cardstock.

The download is here: PDF JoAnn's Mask Pattern

From the website:

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Cotton for exterior of mask
  • Cotton for interior of mask
  • 17" length of 1/8" wide elastic
  • Basic sewing supplies
  1. Cut the pattern pieces shown, one of each piece for the exterior of the mask and one of each piece for the interior of the piece. The larger pieces should be cut on the fabric fold, the fold going with the grain of the fabric.
  2. Open the folded fabric pieces.

If your fabric can't fold don't panic! just cut the pieces out of your favorite fabric. Just sew the two pieces on where it says fold line. I have here linen fabric (oh it gets hot to wear so one layer should be just fine) This is my tip since I had cut it wrong the first time.

  1. Find the center of the more exaggerated curved edge of the nose piece and match it to the straight edge of the main piece. Beginning in the center of the main piece (where the fabric was folded, pin the main piece and nose piece together, right sides together. The straight edge of the main piece will follow the curve of the nose piece.
  2. Stitch the nose piece onto the main piece using a 1/8" seam allowance.

  3. Now fold the main piece in half again on the original fold line, right sides together. Sewing along the chin dart edge with a 1/4&" seam allowance.
  4. Flip the mask right side out and press the seams.
  5. Topstitch along the top and bottom of the mask near the edge.
  6. Beginning at one of the open ends of the mask, fold under twice and stitch closely along the edge of the fold, creating a 1/2" channel for elastic. Repeat for the other open end of the mask.
  7. Using a safety pin or darning needle, pull an 8 1/2" length of elastic through the casing on each channel you just made. Knot the elastic to a length that is comfortable for your face.
  8. You can hide the knotted section of the elastic in the casing of the mask if you wish.
  9. Give the mask one final press with a hot iron and it’s ready to wear!

  10. Craft Hack Tips and Tricks:
    • Prewash, dry, and iron your fabric before cutting the pattern piece to avoid shrinkage and warping after laundering your mask.
    • Hang dry your finished mask after laundering to avoid breaking down the elastic and thinning the cotton over time.
This is where it can get tricky. But line up the curve to the straight edge the best you can. Pin it to help you. Sew it on.

what it will look like after you sew on the nose piece

This was my end result. It turned out a bit rugged but I was ok with it. I wanted a rugged look for my pirate cosplay. I never sewed up the chin dart but I was ok with that. It worked well for the event I went to.
